Passover

Rev 12:11 tells us that we overcome by the blood of the lamb and the word of our testimony. Derek Prince used to say it like this: We overcome satan when we testify personally to what the Word of God says the blood of Jesus does for us. We have to apply the blood. During passover the Jews would kill the lamb and put the blood in a bowl. While the blood was in the bowl, it had no benefit to the children of Israel. They had to apply the blood to the side posts and header of the door. When the blood was applied, it did it’s work. The death angel would fly over and not harm anyone in any house that had the protection of the blood. Today, we apply the blood and overcome by our testimony…our confession…our profession. So we have to apply the blood of Jesus by confessing the Word of God concerning healing, deliverance, prosperity which is our salvation. As we apply the blood through our testimony, we experience God’s goodness in that specific area of testimony or confession. Here are 7 confessions and the scriptural references to apply the blood. Confess these sayings and your mind will become renewed to God’s Word as you apply the blood of Jesus through your confession.
7 ways to apply the blood of Jesus!



Redemption

Eph 1:7 In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace

1 Peter 18-19 redeemed not corruptible but without blemish

Psalm 107:2 Let the redeemed of the Lord say so…

No say so…..no redemption



Apply the blood: Through the blood of the Jesus, I have been redeemed, out of the hand of satan.



Cleansing

1 John 1:7 His blood cleanses us from all sin

Psalm 51:7 Purge me with Hyssop and I shall be clean, wash me and I shall be whiter than snow.



Apply the blood: Through the blood of Jesus I am cleansed from all sin and I have been washed whiter than snow



Justification acquitted, not guilty, made righteous, I justified or it’s just as if I never sinned.

Romans 5:9

Isaiah 61:10 I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, My soul shall be joyful in my God; For He has clothed me with the garments of salvation, He has covered me with the robe of righteousness,



Apply the blood: Through the blood of Jesus I am acquitted, not guilty, made righteous.

Justification….just as if I never sinned.



Sanctification

Hebrews 13:12 Therefore Jesus also, that He might sanctify the people with His own blood, suffered outside the gate.



Apply the blood: Through the blood of Jesus I am sanctified, made holy, set apart for God, made holy with God’s Holiness.



Life

Leviticus 17:11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood that makes atonement for the soul.



John 6:53 Then Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you. 54 Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. 55 For My flesh is food indeed,[h] and My blood is drink indeed. 56 He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him. 57 As the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, so he who feeds on Me will live because of Me.



1 Cor 10: 16 The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?



Apply the blood: Lord Jesus, when we receive your blood, in it we receive your life, the life of God, divine, eternal, endless life.



Intercession

Hebrews 12:22 But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of angels, 23 to the general assembly and church of the firstborn who are registered in heaven, to God the Judge of all, to the spirits of just men made perfect, 24 to Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than that of Abel.

Contrast of Jesus blood vs Abel’s blood…

Abel’s blood was shed against his will, Jesus shed His blood willingly!

Abel’s blood was sprinkled on earth, Jesus was sprinkled in Heaven

Abel blood screamed for vengeance, Jesus blood cries for Mercy



Apply the blood: Thank you Lord that even when I cannot pray, the blood of Jesus is pleading for me in heaven.
